I've spent over twenty years as an airline captain and thirty as a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer. In aviation, there's no room for cutting corners — you do the job right, you're honest about what you find, and you stand behind your work. Those habits don't switch off when I land.
I was away on a trip when my family called: our garage door had failed and they were stuck at home. With no way to shop around, I called the first company I could find. They eventually came out and replaced a broken torsion spring — then charged me more than double what the job was worth. I felt exactly what so many homeowners feel in that moment: helpless, and taken advantage of.
That experience is why Relevate Garage Doors exists. I’m local in Caldwell, NJ and I built this company to give Northern New Jersey homeowners a local team they can trust when they're in a bind — one that shows up fast, explains the problem in plain language, and charges a fair, upfront price with no surprises.
